Scott serves as CEO of VestCap and as managing director of portfolio investments.

Through his tenure in Mortgage Banking, Scott has worked for industry leaders such as CitiGroup, Deutsche Bank and HSBC.  During that time, Scott received many accolades for his abilities to create and promote many unique mortgage products.  

Prior to Mortgage Banking he was the founding owner of a B2B business to business service, in Cleveland Ohio, that he later sold.   Scott has excelled in all aspect of his career and now focuses on current market conditions.  With the recent collapse of the secondary markets mortgage lending for investors has become very restrictive.

  Scott has assembled a team of mortgage professionals to create new innovative loan programs that allow investors to borrow again and provide incredible returns for our funding partners.  Scott brings a wealth of wholesale operations and secondary market insight to our day to day operations.

Carlos G. Vargas

Over the course of Carlos’s 10-plus years experience in mortgage banking, he has provided ideal residential loans to a very large number of satisfied clients.

Carlos served as president of a local mortgage company managing over 75 agents, and before that he was the Account Executive for Decision One mortgage an affiliate to HSBC (Wholesale), for the Chula Vista California area, achieving recognitions for the results obtained on all his positions.

Being a member of the Pacific Southwest Association of Realtors and an active member in the San Diego Real Estate market, allows Carlos to provide his “first and second generation” of clients a complete range of services and options offered by today’s market, and understand the needs and trends each area offers.

Cindy Knight

Operations Director

Cindy is a highly experienced professional of 25 years in the industry and comes to us with a diverse background in both Real Estate and Financial Services. Her expertise includes extensive operations background in underwriting, product development, quality control, processing, loan documents, funding and shipping.
She has worked for and with, all the big companies in the industry as well as starting little ones and turning them into multi million dollar companies. She spent many years learning every aspect of every division and was responsible for bottom line profitability and development each division. 15 years of her time was spent in underwriting, and with her experience gave her a maximum signing authority of 4,000,000 million dollars, as well as second signature on all loans over 350,000. She covered all sides of our industry and brings a vast wealth of experience to our company.
